Well we have had a very eventful last month, it has been AMAZING. We started December off with a bang and found out that we are going to be parents! Thats right, I'm pregnant! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I took a pregnancy test early in the morning on December 2nd because I knew something was different. When the test said "pregnant" I almost started screaming, i clapped my hands over my mouth and just stared at it. Pregnant! HOORAY!!!! I'm so happy! I ran into our room where Lucas was still asleep, and held the good news in front of his face and shook him awake. He woke up and looked confused then focused on the stick and said (very tired haha) "You're pregnant!" Why yes, yes I am. I then hugged my baby daddy and kissed him like crazy. What a happy morning.
So we knew it was pretty early and planned to annouce it to our families when we went home to Colorado for Christmas. We thought of some cute ideas of fun ways to tell them, but as soon as we were in town we kinda just burst with the news. Everyone was very happy for us :) And I have to say, my children with have the most amazing grandparents of all time!
So we spent Christas vacation (yes I time off work. NINE. It was amazing.) bouncing back and forth between my parents and the Taylors houses. I had morning sickness a couple mornings and Lucas got sick for a couple days, but besides that we got SPOILED and feel so incredibly blessed and loved. Its great to have such amazing families. We decided we are moving back to Colorado in May since Lucas has decided that he wants to start the journey towards becoming a firefighter. He wants to go to the fire acadamy at red rocks community college in denver. How handsome he is.
So after a beautiful and wonderful Christmas (though we missed the two brothers and their families that we didn't see on Christmas) we headed back to Colorado where i woked 24 hours of the first 36 we were home. Gotta make the money~
We also just had our first doctors appointment~ We thought we were about 11 weeks pregnant, but they measured the baby and turns out I'm only 8 weeks and 5 days. So basically we found out we were pregnant like a week after it happened. Thats incredibly fast. Good job us.
Well, I'm exhausted. I'm working the night shift right now and am trying hard not to fall asleep at the computer. I think I'll go walk around and try and wake up.
